What kind of impact has 1 left on your life?
Oh wow! Major impact. First of all their songs are amazing. Whenever I see them live, I’m hypnotized, focused on the stage and I need hours to cool down. And I’ve seem them live quite a few times, most of those times together with the most amazing group of people I’ve met because of this band. Each and every single member of my dear frengers (the name of our weirdly compiled group derived from the Mew album frengers, not quite friends, not quite strangers) is lovely and amazing. Without them knowing and sometimes without me realizing, they are my safety net and they mean more to me than they will ever, ever know. I’ve travelled around the world with them, to them, from them, for them, thanks to them. So thank you Mew and thank you Frengers.

Ce matin la. It used to be the song I woke up to, biking to school every morning. The song wakes up every part of your body, bit by bit.
Is there a song by 3 that makes you sad?
There used to be a song by 3 that made me sad. Now it just makes me smile and think of how much better I am now than I was back then. The song is called Existing in a crisis (Evelyn)
What is your favorite song by 2?
Ouch, that’s harsh! I love all their songs. They one-before-latest single The Lion’s Roar blew me away, it’s amazing! But picking an all time favorite? So hard. Maybe Tangerine will do for now. I think it will. But I need honorable mentions for Hard Believer, Heavy Storm, I Met Up With A King, You’re Not Coming Home Tonight and Our Own Pretty Ways. And basically every other song they made.
When did you first get into 5?
When I was about 11 years old I got Homogenic as a Sinterklaas-gift. I already liked Bjork, seen some of her music video’s and listened to her music whenever it played on the radio. Thankfully I finally had my own CD now (remember, this was before Youtube haha) I sang my throat sore with this one. Yeah. I got hooked and that feeling never really stopped.
How did you get into 3?
Someone I knew, knew Bayside and let me listen to them. They came at the right time. Still angry with my manipulative ex-boyfriend, their songs expressed a feeling that I would never be able to express. And, unlike most punkrock bands, they live up to expectations when you see them live. Except when they play boring songs (but even then, they are very good at playing them live)

What is a good memory concerning 2?
Driving my car with my BFF Sophie HVJNTB all the way to Roskilde and back, listening to You’re Not Coming Home Tonight and Our Own Pretty Ways non stop, trying to sing along in harmony as nice as they do (and failed, obviously)

Hm.. That’s probably also Tangerine. Not because it relates to me, but the lyrics are heartbreaking.

Guardrail! I wish I could ride you drive you too fast into a sharp curve, break your neck like you broke my will, the guardrail will take you home. YEAH! Perfect angry song, or headband song, or just listen song etcetera, etcetera
